Selected Work

Training · Technical Assistance · Process Improvement · Technology Enablement

My work has consistently centered on one challenge: helping people and organizations navigate complexity more effectively. Across human services, behavioral health, financial services, workforce development, operations, and emerging technology, I identify where understanding or execution breaks down, translate the problem, and build practical systems, resources, training, and workflows that help people move forward.

Designing AI — From Complex Concept to Complete Learning System

Dafina Consulting · Independent

I kept seeing the same gap in AI education: people were taught prompts and tools before they ever learned to translate their own thinking, context, intent, and workflows into useful AI interactions. So I built an instructional approach around a different premise, that effective AI use comes from context and structured thinking, not just better prompts.

Improving the Recruiting → Onboarding → Training Handoff

Centria Autism
Sanitized professional case study

Challenge. Working in training, I noticed a disconnect between Recruiting/Onboarding and Training. Downstream, the Training team could see patterns in which new hires progressed smoothly and which ones struggled, but those insights weren't consistently making their way back upstream to inform how people were recruited and onboarded.

Result

The standardized communication/handoff process was adopted by the Training team.

Training Leadership, Technical Assistance & Trainer Development

Centria Autism · American Red Cross Instruction
Sanitized professional case study

My Centria experience progressed across direct behavioral services, training, Senior Trainer responsibilities, and client/family-facing operations. That range gave me visibility into the work from several angles at once: frontline service delivery, employee learning, systems adoption, documentation, compliance, and family communication.

Training leadership

I also served as a lead instructor/facilitator in American Red Cross First Aid/CPR training and certification, including observing and evaluating instruction and supporting other trainers.

Technical assistance

Training didn't end when class ended. I provided the practical follow-through, walking employees through systems, documentation requirements, workflows, and performance expectations until they could actually apply what they learned in real work.

SSI/SSDI, Work Incentives & Person-Centered Community Supports

Choice Independence, LLC
No client-identifying information

For roughly a decade I worked in community-based and residential human services while helping operate and grow an early-stage organization. My responsibilities went well beyond general operations, into the detailed, high-stakes work of helping people secure and keep the benefits and supports they depended on.

Person-centered advocacy

I participated in person-centered planning meetings and worked across clients, families, social workers, state agencies, healthcare providers, vocational programs, service providers, and insurance/funding requirements. The work often meant translating what an individual or family actually needed into the documentation, planning, advocacy, and stakeholder communication required to obtain or keep appropriate services.

High Performance → Repeatable Performance

Rocket Mortgage · Rock Connections

In a high-volume consultative sales environment, 150+ outbound calls a day, I worked in needs discovery, financial-product education, negotiation, objection handling, and solution selling, using an Acknowledge–Respond–Pivot approach and independent research into what actually motivated each client.

Earlier at Rocket Mortgage, I collaborated with an internal technology team to test new software from an operational-user perspective, identify issues, give structured feedback, and recommend workflow improvements. Later, in Capital Markets, I managed a book of third-party banking relationships and educated partners on products, pricing, rates, and changes.
